The limited edition Columbia amp was an inspiration of the original Magnatone Troubadour 214 amp that came onto the market in 1959 and immediately set the standard for rock n’ roll, blues and R&B tone, with incredibly smooth harmonics and sweet Class A tone has once again been resurrected from the dead. The amp was carefully reconstructed from the ground up paying attention to the classic 50’s look and electronics that have made this amp one of the most sought-after tone machines for many artists over the years.

What’s under the hood? The amp is handmade in the Los Angeles, California using the best parts from companies like Carling, Switchcraft, Belton, CTS, JJ, Mallory, Illinois, Mercury Magnetics and NOS parts from Kasha USA suppliers. It is wired point-to-point using terminals without a printed circuit board and Teflon coated wire mil-spec. Seasoned veterans that are passionate about making the amps wiring an art form do the soldering and assembly. The chassis is made out of steel, then painted and silk-screened by hand. The amp is tested and burned in for over 48 hours, then played. John Kasha does the final inspection.

The amp comes standard with a vibrato/tremolo effect that is unique and timeless. Kasha added master volume, transparent effects loop, standby switch, variable cathode adjustment for running the tubes cold, medium or hot for either a loose or tight tone variant. All the tubes are interchangeable, and Kasha supplies a tube exchange chart to experiment with your tone. It can take 6V6, 6L6 or EL34s. Each set of tube variations provides a plethora of tone variations for the novice or highly advanced tone seekers.  The amp comes with a limited lifetime warranty and signed by the creator John Kasha.

The speaker cabinet is constructed by the same team that made Fender amps with over 150 years of combined experience using animal glue resin, the finest Tolex, threaded inserts for speaker mounting and cabinet enclosure.  The speaker is handmade in Indiana by Weber.

Kasha also provides an optional cover to protect your investment from dust and accidental bumps. The covers are made from vinyl and cotton milled from a factory in Mississippi and stitched on commercial sewing machines by seamstresses’ with over 30 years of experience.

Since the inception, amp manufacturers and designers have tried to create the mojo this amp puts out using artists endorsements and clever marketing names. But when you remove the hype, the tone of this amp is all that matters. One strum of a cord puts a smile on any tone-seekers face.

Kasha Amplifiers was the first company that took the original amps design and made it into something special by adding a specially designed speaker, transformer, cabinet, optional effects loop and increasing the amps power and headroom making it road worthy for today’s gigging musician. The amp has been in circulation for 9 years.

The amps, cabinets, and speakers are custom made in the USA. We take pride in our quality control. Our estimated dates are about 90% accurate. We want to make sure the product arrives safe and will last a lifetime. Kasha is celebrating 30 years of making exceptional music gear, we stand behind every product that leaves our facility in Los Angeles California.
